Kuala Lumpur, 7 December 2007 – Hitachi Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Berhad, the marketing arm of Hitachi consumer electrical products, today launched its new range of Plasma & Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) televisions, washing machines, refrigerators, air-conditioners and vacuum cleaners.
The star products are the DC Pam Inverter System Air Conditioner 1.5HP to 2.0HP which saves up to 50% energy and the World First Refrigerator is equipped with the vacuum chilled compartment with the world’s first Nutritious Preservation Technology.
Hitachi Sales Malaysia’s, Managing Director, Hidenori Zen said Hitachi is proud to celebrate its 35th anniversary in Malaysia and we are always commitment to introducing new technology to Malaysia.
“Hitachi is also synonymous with 1080 Full High Definition (HD) ALIS Panel and Hitachi’s Original In-Plane-Switching (IPS) Alpha technology together with Picture Master Full HD which is used in our Plasma TVs and LCD TVs. We hope that through the introduction of our new sleek and stylishly designs across all our range of devices, we will be able to capture 10% of the market share for Flat Panel Display segment”, added Zen.

Refrigerators
The new Hitachi Refrigerator R-X6000M comes with world’s first vacuum chilled compartment and Nutritious Preservation Technology. Minus Zero Cooling System is designed to offer a prefect cooling environment that keeps food fresh. The Auto Ice Maker continuously makes ice cubes automatically without the need for special plumbing.
The Refrigerator R-Z700AMX-660L model is equipped with the triple clean system namely Twin Nano Titanium, Cool Jet Wrap and Minus Ion. This model also saves energy up to 15%.
Air Conditioners
The latest Hitachi’s Air-Conditioners DC Pam Inverter RAS-X13CX (1.5HP) and RASX18CX (2.0HP) promotes energy saving up to 50% and faster cooling up to 24%. The Nano Titanium Stainless Filter and Nano Titanium Air Purifying Filter is designed for deodorization, bacteria elimination and anti-bacterial measures.
Vacuum Cleaners
Hitachi’s Cyclone System Vacuum Cleaner CV-SJ21V is the company’s fastest selling home appliance. The high-powered cyclone system vacuum cleaners with 2100W motor and strong suction power of 480W incorporates a 7-stage filtration system, dust compression technology and Nano-Titanium deodorizing filter for a thorough collection of dirt and dust which prevent unpleasant odours.
Washing Machines
The World’s First Jumbo Size 16kg washer with Detergent Maximizer, SF-160HJX is able to wash 80 pieces of garments at any one time and is large enough to handle quilts and blankets.
Hitachi’s BD-V1 Front Load Washing Machine features the world’s largest 60cm diameter drum, the world’s first five-ply fluid balancer, the world’s first double vibration sensor, the world’s first twin action suspension, the world’s lowest noise level, and the world’s first thinnest body at 60cm depth.
Flat Panel Displays
Hitachi’s latest 1080 Full HD 60-inch P60X01A Plasma TV and Full HD LCD TV 42-inch L42X01A marks another significant achievement for Hitachi in providing the ultimate cinematic experience to its consumers. This Plasma TV boast the world’s highest resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels designed using Hitachi’s latest technology in flat panel display - Movie Frame Rate Converter (FRC) technology. This technology analyzes the existing frames and supplements them with newly created frames. The technology enables more linear sequence of images and smoother movements than conventional TV with absolute minimum stuttering or jerkiness.
Another technology embedded in the Plasma TVs is the Picture Master FULL HD Graphics Engine employs three advanced techniques namely colour, contrast and clarity controls. It digitally processes each image for maximum sharpness and color reproduction. With enhanced contrast ratio of 10,000:1 consumers will get intensified shades and highlights for even sharper images.
