Hitachi Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Berhad, the marketing arm of Hitachi consumer electrical products, launched its new range of Plasma & LCD TVs, washing machines, refrigerators and air-conditioners at Sunway Hotel on 7 December 2006.

These products, developed on Hitachi’s 3 Change philosophy, benchmarks itself on three key elements: core technology, cleanliness and comfort. It also comes equipped with Nano-Titanium technology which is designed to maximise efficiency and offer a cleaner and healthier lifestyle.

Mr. Hidenori Zen, Managing Director, Hitachi Sales Malaysia said Hitachi is the world’s first company to incorporate Nano-Titanium technology into its home appliances as a means of deodorization, bacteria elimination and anti-bacterial measures.

He added, “Hitachi is also synonymous with 1080 High Definition (HD) ALIS Panel and in-plane-switching (IPS) technology which used in all our Plasma TVs and LCD TVs. “We hope that through the introduction of our new sleek and stylishly designed range of products, we will be able to capture 20% of the market share for Flat Panel Display segment”, concluded Zen.

To reaffirm its position at the forefront of Malaysia’s consumer electronics market, Hitachi also revealed its most innovative next generation life enriching product line-up to date

Flat Panel Display

Hitachi ’s latest HD 1080 42-inch plasma TV model 42PD9800TA marks another significant achievement for Hitachi in providing the ultimate cinematic experience to its consumers. This Plasma TV boast the world’s highest resolution of 1,024 x 1,080 pixels 42V Plasma TVs. HD panels within eliminates distortion from panel limits and transmits a clear and crisp image. The Picture Master HD II Image Processing Unit digitally processes each image for maximum sharpness and color reproduction. With enhanced contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and the World’s Highest Luminance of peak brightness of 1,400cd/m 2 consumers will get intensified shades and highlights for even sharper images.

Washing Machine

Hitachi ’s Nano-Titanium range of home appliances features its biggest capacity washer in the market. The new SF-160GJ MG 16kg jumbo size washing machine is able to wash 80 shirts at once and is large enough to handle quilts and blankets.

Refrigerator

The new Hitachi Big French 4-door refrigerator model R-W 690FMX with Minus Zero Cooling System is designed to offer a prefect cooling environment that keeps food fresh. Designed for deluxe model with a touch of elegance, it comes with tempered glass door and e-control panel for easy operation. The Real Nano Technology eliminates 99% of bacteria and resolves 90% of odours within 50 minutes. The Auto Ice Maker continuouslymakes ice cubes automatically without the need for special plumbing. There is also a 3-layered purification filter that removes chlorine and also has anti-bacterial effect.

Air Conditioner

The latest Hitachi’s Room Air-Conditioners for Air Exchanger type (RAS-10EX9S & RAS-13EX9S and RAS-18EX9G models) with 24-hour Automatic Air Exchange is designed to keep the room clean and fresh at all times. The Fresh Air Intake feature delivers fresh, oxygen-rich air from the outside . The new Room Air-Conditioner also features the world’s first Stainless Steel Filter and Blue-Nano Air Purification System for deodorization, bacteria elimination and anti-bacterial measures. The Twin Air Flow System also helps prevent uneven spread of coolness to keep room constantly fresh and cool.

Other products showcased include Hitachi’s vacuum cleaners, the company’s fastest selling home appliance. Hitachi high power Cyclone system vacuum cleaners with 200W motor incorporates a 7-Stage Filtration System, dust compression technology and Nano-Titanium Deodorizing Filter for a thorough collection of dirt and dust which prevent unpleasant odours .
